Scott A. Miller

Scott Miller was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised on Long Island. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the State University of New York at Oneonta in 1984 and his Juris Doctorate degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1987. After working for several years as an associate at several prominent litigation law firms in Manhattan, he established the firm in downtown Brooklyn. Scott Miller is admitted to practice in the Courts of the State of New York as well as the Federal Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Scott Miller is a civil trial attorney with more than twenty years of experience. He has successfully counseled and represented hundreds of individuals and local businesses located throughout New York City. Scott Miller possesses extensive knowledge and expertise in commercial and residential landlord and tenant matters, commercial and residential property leasing matters and many other types of real estate litigation.

Scott Miller has also lectured on landlord and tenant law to other attorneys at continuing legal education seminars in New York City. In fact, many other attorneys often call on him to share his opinions and expertise on landlord and tenant law and to refer matters to him as well.

In addition to his vast expertise in real estate related litigation matters, he also handles family law matters in the New York City Family Courts.

In 2001, Robin Kahn, his wife, joined the firm so that they could expand the areas of their legal practice and serve their clients more effectively.

Robin J. Kahn

Robin J. Kahn

Robin J. Kahn was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised on Staten Island. She attended Franklin & Marshall College located in Lancaster, Pa. and graduated from New York University, College of Arts and Sciences with a joint degree in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish. While attending Brooklyn Law School she was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and participated in internships at both the United States Attorney’s Office, Criminal Division in the Southern District and the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

Upon graduation from Brooklyn Law School in 1987 she began working at the Legal Aid Society, Criminal Defense Division in Manhattan as a trial attorney. While there, she handled hundreds of criminal cases ranging from simple misdemeanors to complex felony murder cases, from arraignment to resolution. She has extensive trial experience defending the rights of the accused of all types of criminal offenses.

Nine years ago, Robin Kahn merged her practice with her husband of twenty-one years, Scott Miller, in order to expand the areas of legal expertise provided by the firm with the goal to better serve their many clients.

Lorrain Vaughn

Lorrain Vaughn graduated from the City University of New York in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in paralegal studies. In the past, she has worked with law firms specializing in immigration, matrimonial and real estate law, as well as criminal law.

She began working for Scott Miller and Robin Kahn in 2008 and is now the Office Manager for The Law Offices of Scott A. Miller, handling the day-to-day activities of the firm. Lorrain Vaughn conducts the paralegal and management duties of the office with courteousness and efficiency. With her vast paralegal experience and firm grasp of the court system, Lorrain Vaughn ensures The Law Offices of Scott A. Miller functions smoothly and efficiently.
